Someone has just rang. She wants the whole wedding stuff for 40 people I thought OK great.

Theme Not so good

She wants a Spring theme "Yellows & spring flower she mention daffodils & butterflies

I bloody hate yellow & who has daffodils on their wedding cards.

Any suggestion please

Can you use a pale lemon? Get away with a more gold colour? Stylised butterflies with wire hearts for wings?

maybe ask what flowers she is having herself (presumably not a bouquet of daffodils?)

how about a strip of elegant pale velum with some pastel like butterflys on it

obviously I was thinking just a few, maby three flowers on each invite..

no problem, I had a similar issue, one of my brides wanted thistles and I could fine any (within budget) that looked half way decent.
I ended up with a wee posy of purple and white flowers with a co-ordiating strip of colour down the middle of the card and she loved it.

you could see if you could steer her toward daisys and way from dafts.
use a dasiy stamp to cut out some pearlesnat flowers in leamon and white standard daisy shapped leaves or somethin else.
Have a lemon card and hand tear a strip of mulberry ( white with gold thread is beautiful)
run a stip down a side of the card and arrange your flowers on foam pads so they stand out.
Am sure you could tart it up or play around a bit with the idea.

The other idea is a bit bolder.
it would be a tall card with stong colours. Cut two squares in the darkest coulr and then cut out the flower stamp shape.
cut two maller flower shapes out in a contrasting colour.
arrange the squares centre top and bottom of the card, with the large flowe of the darkest colour in the middle.....
am realising this sound v complicated..

hate yellow too, as a rule. Won't ever, ever wear it or get in a yellow car. My ex-MIl couldn't fathom why, until i was stood next to a yellow wall and then she realised.....
