Hi nicolajc! Welcome to A&C:)

I started by getting some card blanks, some card and some stickers.

What kind of cards would you like to be able to make? Any idea?

Hi Nic

There's a few of us on here with SN kids- my ds1 is As, I find it helps me relax and also the scrapbooking helps me focua on his more psitive aspects.

Do you have a wilkinsons, The Works or even Asda near you? They all sell basic cheap cardmaking essentials (blanks and embellishments).

Personally i think the best way to start is by looking at a magazine, quick cards made easy (smiths stock it) is good for beginners.

Also look at the website \link{http://www.docrafts.co.uk/\here} for ideas.

Hi nicolajc...welcome to A&C's.
Ive got a 10 year old autistic Ds and started cardmaking for exactly the same reasons...helps me relax and gives me some "me time".

Have a look at a few cardmaking websites and try and decide what style you would like to go for.

We are all here to help so dont worry about asking us anything...we were all beginers once!!

Thankyou i will have to get that magazine.

I made 1 attemp once with a cheap card making kit the glue wouldnt stick properly and ended up running all over the card Blush

Ah glue- some glues are awful!

I recommend anitas tacky glue, a pritt stick and a reel of double sided- covers most eventualities ime.

(when buying mags- check out the freebies Grin- always a good range!)

Warning though, it's addictive!

Oh and check out enay too, amazing range, and if like me you're on a tight budget it's easier to buy a few diecuts or whatever than the die itself
