What to make for charity Christmas Fair - possibly knitting or sewing!

I am a sad tale. I USED to be able to sew. I USED to be able to knit. I was taught by two grandmothers who were amazing at them. How I wish they were here now! I have totally lapsed and can hardly remember.

I am trying to kick start myself into relearning by saying I'll do stuff to sell at the Christmas fair for a local charity.

So, what could I do?

in my dreams, I'm knitting (or crocheting?) little hats with reindeer ears and snowflakes but perhaps this is too much for me.

Do you have a sewing machine? Kit bags for school kit or shoes are simple to make, can get lots of lovely fabrics and can be personalized if you want to offer that for extra.

Or similar but smaller are little bags for the tooth fairy that can be handily hung on a door knob.

For a Xmas theme maybe go for Xmas tree decs. If you search pinterest there are loads of crafty ideas that are quite simple but look amazing. They can look really effective hung on some twigs sprayed white.

Could you see or knit tiny little backless outfits for babies who are still born? I was overwhelmed by the kindness of complete strangers who had done this for my daughter. They're too small for shop bought clothes so otherwise she would have just been wrapped up.

Oh sorry just realised "fair". Don't think there's a market for little clothes! Carry on....

That idea wouldn't be right for the fair but it is a lovely one. Can I ask why they have to be backless (idiot emoticon)?

Pinterest... I will have a look, thankyou for the suggestion. At the moment I have been googling and have got myself in a spin of anxiety over what to choose and what I can / can't do.

go to ravelry. You need to be careful its soooooooooooooooooooo addictive. But there are lots of little things to do (and some very complicated big ones) also you can go on you tube so you can watch someone knitting orcrocheting.
I imagine the outfits for stillborns being backless is so they are less stressful for the parents to put on.
