is anyone involved with this? So inspirational. Book on Amazon coming out in December - that's how I found out about it via Amazon advert. Do "look inside" the book. Very heartwarming.

Www.projectlinusuk.co.uk - woolly patterns there as well as quilting. I'm thinking of helping but would be great to read your views. My heart tho goes first to Woolly Hugs! Grin

I have just been staying with my mil and she showed me a beautiful quilt she had made for a boy for the Linus project. It is stunning, with penguins and seal patchwork on front and a rainbow stripped fleece on the back. Will go and look at the link in a minute.

I was involved in Project Linus when we lived in the States. It was a great outlet when I started to learn crochet and I met a wonderful group of ladies at our monthly meetings. I hope that this takes off in the same way in the UK as it has in the US and hopefully they will accept crocheted blankets and not just knitted ones - faithful hooker here, can't manage 2 needles!!

thanks StellaMarie Grin. Do look at the UK website for Project Linus as it shows how people can help. Sadly in Bristol, there is o contact person and I am not sure I am experienced enough in sewing to be the contact person. I may contact the HQ now I have heard from you to see how I could help.

Thanks.
Xx

Ps I am learning to cope with 2 needles and it is proving to be fun! I hope to move onto just one needle as crochet goodies look fab! I get the vibes from the Arts Craft section that people tend to prefer either 1 or 2 needles not both.

I am. I am a quilter and have made several quilts for Linus. Actually my son was given a Linus quilt when we were in Refuge. We still have it on his bed, he loves it. It's weird being on the giving and receiving ends. Wonderful though Smile

Thanks Todays... Thanks.

I know what you mean about receiving and giving as I used to be an OT and my children have had OT treatment.

Glad Project Linus is fab! Grin

We were given one for my ds3 when he was in hospital at a week old. We had a very traumatic time with him (involving him having to be ventilated and airlifted to PICU at a hospital over 200 miles away). I love that quilt! It's just a simple square quilt, with only a couple of fabrics - nothing fancy but it means so much to me. I will never forget the nurse coming with it and laying it over him so tenderly when he was really struggling. It is very special and I often wonder who made it. I will probably keep it forever, along with the little knitted hat that the retrieval team put on him before he was transferred. Thankfully he recovered and is now almost 9 months.

I love making quilts and am hoping to donate one soon. They really do mean such a lot to the recipients. Smile
