I like the look of this blanket for my dd. I've had a look on Ravelry but nothing like this. Any ideas lovely ladies?

had a google of crochet ruffle patterns and came up with this heart

Would you be able to work a base and do ruffles over??

alfiemama · 07/08/2012 11:26

Thanks Catsmama, love that heart. Looks
complicated though.
Yes I suppose you could do a base and add ruffles would take a while thoughGrin

I am sure I found a pattern on ravelry like that but I can't find it now! I will keep looking.

SoupDragon · 07/08/2012 14:14

Aha! it does seem to involved making a mesh and then crocheting the ruffles onto it though.

similar to this I think. Not a free pattern though

MoaningMingeWhingesAgain · 07/08/2012 14:17

www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ripple-blanket-2 aha - looks very like this one

alfiemama · 07/08/2012 14:52

Aha Soupdragon you star. Closet I found was this from someone on Rav.

I can't decide now it's between these two and Attic24's ripple. I'm not the best at crochet and worry its too complicated.

I love the attic24 ripple more. The wiggly one is cute but reminds me of a bathmat TBH.

alfiemama · 07/08/2012 15:03

Ooh Moaning you could be right there. Not a good look Blush

I am a big ripple fan. It is my blanket of choice when making a gift.

SoupDragon · 07/08/2012 15:22

I stumbled across the ruffled one when looking for a ribbon pattern, which I didn't find. This time when I searched for ribbon I got the one I had been looking for and not the ruffled one!

alfiemama · 07/08/2012 17:07

I find that's always the case for me too.

Just been having a practice with the 31 st of ripple. My counting is always off with crochet. I am a knitter reallyGrin
I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. But i end up with sts left.

Off the top of my head, I would hazard a guess that, at the end of your row, you didn't put two trebles in the top stitch of the last stitch (3-chain)

SoupDragon · 07/08/2012 17:31

...of the row below.

Pressed post too soon!

alfiemama · 07/08/2012 19:05

Ah I missed this part. Doh!
Thanks Soupy.

Lol... It's very common and thus I was confident that it would be the problem :o

alfiemama · 08/08/2012 09:14

Glad I'm not the only one. I will try again today. I can crochet in the round just struggle when flat. Would love to make some of those cute shoes but can't figure the counting outBlush

alfiemama · 11/08/2012 21:37

Actually I'm not showing the ripples are rippling now I'm on my second rowGrin

OP posts:
alfiemama · 11/08/2012 22:00

Ha ha that was before the vinoGrin

I'm not sure it's rippling.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 11/08/2012 22:09

Have more wine... Something will ripple then :)

alfiemama · 11/08/2012 22:30

Grin ripped a row back and it's rippling yey. Grin or it's the wine.
