I made a lovely card today- simple, but an embossed (as in stencil pushy through embossing not heat embossing) daffodil on pearl cream card, edged in dark yellow cats eye chalk ink, munted onto a slightly asian paper which was dark yellow filigree pattern repeated on two sahdes paler paper, mounted (sticky pads) on to a pearl card cream blank (if ever buying card on Ebaby, I always use BrotherSleeep- he's fab, used many times) with a square dark yellow gen (small) in the bottom right corner of embossed panel, a flower made of two pale sissix flowers overlayered with same gem in centre on right corner of paper layer, and then gem on card outer corner.
Worked really well but currently haev no way of recording it and I have to give it tomorrow. A friend has had a terrible week- her daughter was injured by a neglectful Nursery then her Mother (Daughter's grandmother) lost trhe baby she was expecting- thought the ard might be appropriate.
The Partners scrapbooking gems are fab, btw. I bought them for the dalek layout I did (again, can't photograph) as they were amber like 'dalek acne'.
We like to see your pics UCM, I love how you bent the flowers to get the effect- will deffo nick that! have a thing about daisies so esp. like that one.
My main Mothers day cards this year will be A5 cream pearlescent blanks, flowers cut from sissix on pale lemon glitter paper, scattered all over blank, a centre panel of pearl card to match blank with embossed daffodil coloured in chalk, and lemon bow under panel. Don't usually use glitter so at a new thing.
