How much do you need? Bakerross do 3kg bags of scola-cast powder for £2.99 which fills masses of moulds and works very well - I have used this one a lot and have never had any problems with it.

Otherwise Fred Aldous do much bigger bags - up to 25kg I think but I don't know how good this is as I haven't used it.

I need to make about 100 2 inch moulds

I reckon that 1 3kg bag should be just about sufficient, certainly no more than 2 at the most. I'm sure I made about 200 or so moulds from the last bag I had, but these were flat back shapes to make into fridge magnets, if they are 3d shapes you might need the mixture to go a bit further.

Hi coral, what is scola cast powder? is it the same thing?

Scola is the name of the maker. Basically it's a fine casting powder which you mix up with water, pour into moulds and it hardens in about 40 minutes, so is probably the same thing.

Have a look on bakerross - it gives examples of the types of things they have made with it so you can see if it's suitable for the moulds you have.

PS - on the stone issue (dare not post on the other thread ) have you tried ebay? There is a seller on there selling 50 glass stones in a variety of colours for £1 per bag.
