Hot Chocolate ingredients in a jar - for kids to make for Mothers Day?

Hi,

I am a guide leader and we are painting glass jars to put something in for Mothers Day - I was wondering about doing stuff so that Mums can make a nice hot chocolate.

Can someone please advise me what to put in? (Cocoa powder or drinking chocolate?) Marshmallows or chocolate curls, or both?

We have to keep an eye on costs, so nothing that will cost more than about £1 a head.

Many thanks in advance

"I was wondering about doing stuff so that Mums can make a nice hot chocolate."

I assume you meant to say "so that mums can have a nice cup of hot chocolate made for them "

But I can't really answer your question as I find a lot of hot chocolate disappointing :o

This is the peppermint hot choc recipe which is lovely. At this time of year when candy canes are not around you could use more sugar or smarites maybe,

smarties.
Sorry it is the end of a long day here.

This Jamie hot chocolate mix looks amazing:

I was about to post Jamie's Epic Hot Chocolate. It's lovely, but you will need to attach a label on how to make it (how many spoonfuls of mix to milk).
It's fine made with cheap/value dark chocolate. Some cling-film wrapped marshmallows in the top of the jar would be a nice touch.

Thank you all, I think we will go with Jamies, as breaking up the rock into tiny bits could take hours (think 24 girls banging away in a confined area).
