Wondering if anyone fancied linking to their favourite patterns in one thread? I dont yet understand about the hook/needle changing the size of the pattern.

Im wishing for the skill and patience to do this

Garden theme one I recall reading Wubblys blanket may involve trees?

In reality, I might be able to stretch to this

Quite a few patterns on here, but I'll warn, you, that she is, a little, excessive, with commas, which makes her, patterns hard to, read, sometimes, if you're not, great, at following, patterns in the first, place. Wink

This is the penguin pattern I used for Wubbly's blanket. I used 4mm needles and it came out just a shade longer than 6" long and exactly 6" wide. There are a couple of plain rows at the top and bottom of the penguin that could be taken out to make it exactly 6" long.

I copied just the pattern details into word and printed them off so they were all on one page. That way I could tick off each row as I completed it so I kept track of where I was.

Angel the penguin is gorgeous Smile. And a knit and purl job too - my favourite Smile

He is cute isn't he? I thought he'd be in keeping with the Octonauts theme. Grin Not that any blanket is themed before anyone panics.

I love the way just using a different combination of knit and purl can make quite intricate pictures.

I can do complicated patterns with cables and lace but even after knitting for 35 years I haven't mastered changing colour mid row. I always end up with a hole in my knitting. I am in awe of knitters who do the multicoloured squares.
