I have just bought 360 sheets (12 x 12") of scrapbook paper (4 sheets of each of 90 designs) - patterns & colours with co ordinating solid colours for just over £9. There is alsorts, ginghams, stripes, stars, flowers ... everything !! Nice quality too !
3p a sheet

Happy to split / swap / sell with others as there is no way I can use it all.

Every one of my cards from now on will have a funky background!

Why on earth should a barrister be eligible??

merrySOAPBOXingday · 30/12/2005 20:15

Some great looking stuff for scrapbooking isn't there!

tamum · 30/12/2005 20:16

I have to say I have never met anyone here who has been refused membership of Costco. Any public sector employment is fine, certainly, and my retired parents are members. Maybe it varies by store though, in terms of how strictly the criteria are applied?

merrySOAPBOXingday · 30/12/2005 20:17

I took a friend of mine in one day and told them she was trustworthy and they gave her membership - but she was refused when she had tried on her own!

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 30/12/2005 20:29

I've never seen Sizzix stuff in the UK Costco.

Champs email me with what you have to swap. I don't have much in the way of fibres or brads (not tried eyelets yet!). I'm not too bad now for card. I could use any muberry paper (the thin stuff, not the thicker paper, which I have quite a bit of). My mind has gone blank - done too much craft stuff today after doing none for ages!

DH says the company he works for is means he is eligible for membership-he is a baker BTW,

I need to stop coming on here im spending too much money

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 30/12/2005 22:08

Whizz have you weighed it yet????
I have a £20 budget to get scrapping paper for J's class CJ's...the postage wouldnt be more than a tenner would it???

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 30/12/2005 22:44

Sorry JM - went right out of my head.

On our (prob not very accurate) bathroom scales - we get around 4kg. That would be £7.20 std parcel rate. If its over 4kg but less than 6kg, it is £8.17 according to Royal Mail website.

Right - getting scientific here - took out 36 sheets & weighed on kitchen scales = 389g & times by 100 ! ie 3.89kg !! so should be £7.20

Just having a proper look at the sheets I've taken out - pink & blue 'Baby' sheets as well as patterns.

merrySOAPBOXingday · 30/12/2005 22:49

MY kitchen scales which are quite accurate shows just under 4kg. So Whizz's price would be right.

Just opened them and had a look - they are really beautiful - some really lovely design's. Some good 'male' designs too!

Some that will also be very nice for card making!

Maybe I'll have to buy some of my own now

And to think this all started with teh them v us card challenge[grrrr]

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 30/12/2005 23:11

Whizz if its not too much trouble for you....would you be able get me a pack???
I can paypal you the money or pop a cheque in the post tomorrow.
If I sent £20 that should cover it shouldnt it???

Im starting work at J's school in the arts and crafts dept next week {{{{eekkkk....not worked properly for years!!!}}}Im making a CJ with all the kids as our first topic "all about me"...the sheets would be really useful for covering the CJ's and making the pages.

Let me know if you could do this for me.

Thanks
JM

Yorkie - I thought anyone could get a card - but apparantly not - it depends on where you work / what you do. Their website is not very helpful - suggest you ring up your local store & ask before you go down.
