after Xmas had finished... what is the next "project" to do?

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 28/12/2005 19:28

Well, I haven't yet. Hence me owing someone some.

She's a BFC. They like to have sample boobs (flat nipple, normal nipple) for demos. They are normally knitted.

You can knit uteruses (uteri?) too.

Gracesmum · 29/12/2005 02:41

hi biglipkiss how about folding the balloons and creating envelope/pocket to store them in and add this to your LO.i kept balloons from my dds 1st b/day but just put them in her memory box with cards.

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 29/12/2005 10:11

NQC - where on earth do you get a pattern for knitted boobs ???????

I was given the patterns for boobs. But you can also find patterns online for breast prostheses ... I'm too tired to search right now.

Of course, I can see it's confusing, someone posting that they owe someone some boobs!

Pixiefish · 30/12/2005 00:20

ROFL- thought it was a mistype but couldn't for the life of me think what it was - LOL

ChampsOnIce · 30/12/2005 03:47

thought it was a mispell of boots at first, then when i saw the next post thought you promised to get her a boob job.

am gonna work on a few paper bag books next.

AuntyQuated · 30/12/2005 07:53

it was good. the lady running it has some good ideas re technique BUT no ideas on colours, embellishments! her finished product looks like a young child has chosen the B&P. lol
but we made a mini-scrap book, all cleverly folded, and i will def use the idea again. i'll post a pic when i get a min.
we had to fold the main part then she asked us to choose a colour for the cover. luckily i chose dark blue. my friend chose red as did the 2 DDs. once we had stuck the covers in place she asked us to chose some papers for the inside, there were some lovely blues, but nothing to go with red! the girls were OK they were happy with canary yellow but my friend was rather limited. the lady suggested PURPLE, she finally chose green but it was the wrong tone/shade of green to go with the red cover. sahe is going to pull it apart and give it a new cover.
but we all learnt something and had a lovely 2 hours plus there were only the 4 of us so she was able to give us a lot of attention.

i hope your crop is good YG. what exactly happens? is there any teaching?

Dingle · 31/12/2005 09:44

I heard through the local grapevine that there is a new(ish) scrapbookers shop, opened up fairly locally to me!

I managed to do a search online yesterday and found out where there are. I am waiting to hear back about what classes they have going, but from what I hear they are very popular and there is a waiting list.

Apart from the colours thing that you mentioned AQ, was it still value for money? Did you learn loads of new ideas and techniques?

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 31/12/2005 10:12

Sounds like you had fun AQ...apart from the dire choice of colours!!

Ive joined forces with another scrapper and we have been running a crop club for the past three months. Its great fun and a fab way to meet like minded people.
We take it in turns to plan a quick session where we try out new ideas and then the ladies who come to the crop can select to have a go or scrap their own ideas.
Its a brill way to join forces and share equipment.
Im actually mising my crop session, which should have been today, but was cancelled due to it being New Years Eve...yeah so??? Its just another day isnt it???

My sister paid £20 to go to a scrap class...you should have seen the LO the lady showed her how to make....it twas bloomin awful!! Nothing co-ordinated and the LO was really bare...just a piccie stuck in the centre of the page with a silver trinket in one corner!!! I told her to grab some magazines as I was sure she would get more ideas from them than the class...she did and her LO's are really lovely now.

AuntyQuated · 01/01/2006 10:19

Happy New Year to you all. wishing you lots of crafty goings-on during 2206

here is my mini scrapbook still undecorated but sort of finished. i can't decide what to do with it.

value for money, Dingle?? ---- £7.50 each for 2 hours. this was the only technigue we covered. i don't know if that is good or bad tbh

Dingle · 01/01/2006 10:23

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!! Let's make it a good crafty one!

AQ- It looks great- really complicated though!

DoesntTheNewYearDragOn · 01/01/2006 10:33

To begin the year, I will be clearing out my excess "stuff". I simply won't use X00 gold wooden stars...

DoesntTheNewYearDragOn · 01/01/2006 10:34

(and before I pack the sewing machine away, I will sew 2 santa sacks for friends' babies due this year to save me the trouble at Christmas!)

Dingle · 01/01/2006 10:38

Goodness Soupy, that is far too organised!Well done, you put me to shame!

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 01/01/2006 11:42

Happy New Year All !

Hope there are not too many hangovers out there !

I will be making cards featuring all the fancy papers from Costco - each one will have at least 6 different designs of paper on it
Got to use it all !!!!

(and I think I will loose the Christmas name now)

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 01/01/2006 11:59

Wow...AQ your accordian album is fab...I love making those.
They are not too diffilcult to make Dingle...I posted instructions on another thread showing how to make them.

here

Dingle · 01/01/2006 13:17

Thanks JM, I have saved the info, might have a go when I get the chance.

ChampsOnIce · 01/01/2006 14:55

AQ - great technique, at least you had fun.

thanks jm!

pootlepod · 01/01/2006 15:00

I have just made a 'rough one'- looks fab. Took a wee while to work out how to fold it up.
