Hi Dinglebells - looks like there are a couple of you up in the Manchester area. Like you, I enjoy cardmaking probably a bit more than scrapbooking. Just getting into altering stuff now - anything I can get my hands on, including the family! I am in a really lucky position of being able to spend loads of time on my projects now as my family are almost grown up (why am I on here???!! - came across the discussion last week about Sizzix - and couldn't resist joining!!) - 3 sons, two daughters, just one son of 13 now at home - so plenty of "me time" after all the years of hard work!! - It's been a long time in coming, but boy, is it worth it!! So you young 'uns keep at it - you will get more time - eventually, honest! - Madmollie x

JayzMummy · 03/01/2006 13:34

ooppss..Sory gracesmum....welcome to the arts and crafts board
I copy the photos I want to scrap...the originals I store very safely in acid free folders.
I worry to much that I might bugger up the photo when Im scrapping so I have copies just in case!!

AuntyQuated · 03/01/2006 14:41

they didn't have any craft things as such in ours either got DD some thick paper in quite nice colours and some Go-Ahead biscuits.
Asda still didn't have the mag either, JM.

JayzMummy · 03/01/2006 16:33

The mag is out today...managed to get a copy in WHSmiths along with the cardmakers book that Layla is in.

peckarollover · 03/01/2006 16:34

peckarollover · 03/01/2006 16:36

hey LOL

are you trying to show me up hahah

Im terrible, I get sucked into things very easily and Im now well and truly addicted.

Popsy - been to arty and crafty today but still havent managed costco so havent forgotten your papers!

popsycalindisguise · 03/01/2006 16:37

i was at art and crafty today too

JayzMummy · 03/01/2006 16:37

cardmaking and papercraft...and what were you doing last night????

peckarollover · 03/01/2006 16:40

how funny if we had bumped into each other LOL

What did you get?

JM - I texted popsy to tell of my very sad state of affairs.

I was sat in bed with my collection of cards given to us and the kids over the years cutting off any embellishments I could use or nice lettering etc !

jenk1 · 03/01/2006 17:16

LOL popsy, i did this when i started making cards last year, i went round my mum and sisters houses and said things like "do you want that, that would look nice on a card" the crunch came when i asked my niece if i could have the sequins/jewels that were sewn on her t-shirt!!!

They all save stuff for me now to save me asking.

Its an addiction and it needs feeding!!!
