Can't afford £16 for a rubber stamp - are there cheaper alternatives but still nice?

I am besotted with these but can't justify £16 + more for an ink pad. Has anyone seen something similar cheaper or am I just going to have to lie to myself & DH about how much it cost forget about them?

Might be a crap idea and possibly illegal - can you not print the design off the site and then make photocopies?

Watch this tutorial! I fancy making one now. Those ones you linked to are gorgeous.

The tutorial is great but I reckon the ones I was looking at might be a bit outwith my capabilities and £16 wont buy me a new finger after I hack it off with a craft knife !

Any other suggestions anyone?

There are some on ebay, but however nice they are they will not be the same as the ones you've seen. You may just have to bite the bullet and spend the money.

Just think of savings you would make in future on cards and wrapping Grin

Ah.. So what you're saying essentially is that I need this stamp and it's actually not a frivolous purchase?? No further convincing necessary..

You can buy digital stamps online. They email you the image and you print it out as much as you want.

Or a clear stamp, that isn't mounted on a wooden block would be cheaper. You need to get an acrylic block to mount it on, but you then use the one block for all your stamps.
