Printing onto fabric... Iron on?

I really want to create a printed tea towel for the family from the children.

Eg: a funny quotation from dc printed on a plain tea towel or cushion?

How on earth do I do that?

Iron on using transfer paper?

I would like it to look well... Good!

Any ideas? Thanks :)

you can get miracle fabric in a4 sheets that you can run the printer, it is 100% cotton. You could sew it onto a larger sheet of cotton.

I used it to make cushions for my DD with photos of her favorite bands on.
Have a search on the internet because you can get packs of 10 as well.

That's a good idea. I did want to cheat however and print directly onto the fabric though.

no good for a tea towels, but you can use print onto transfer paper & then iron onto cotton based fabrics for cushion use min 50/50 cloth, but more cotton the better - again up to A4 size, but you could break the design down & cut out if you need it bigger :)

I think transfer paper is my best bet.
