Just as the title says really.
I always thought crochet looked a little old fashioned (please don't flame me) can you convince me otherwise?

thanks

Try www.ravelry.com there are loads of free patterns on there, most of which were designed in the last few years so they might be a bit more interesting? personally I'm a knitter so i do find crochet to look old-fashioned, or if I do see a pattern I like it seems to be very complicated!

Thanks horiblemotheragain.
I am on Rav but thanks for the link. It's just nice to get mnetters opinions. I am normally a knitter and not sure whether to push myself and really try and crack this craft.

toddler but my fav

alfiemama · 25/05/2011 12:19

That's nice as well. I just get in such a tizz with crochet, maybe I should just stick to knitting.
I really wanted to crochet some shoes for dd along the lines of www.ravelry.com/designers/sylvia-schuchardt or and from this lady www.ravelry.com/designers/lisa-van-klaveren

I'm knitting these at the minute www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pattern-daisy-baby-booties
Very cute but thought crochet would be a little more structured.

those booties are adorable. worth pursuing i think.

alfiemama · 25/05/2011 12:30

They are very cute. I struggle to find shoes that match dd outifits but you can always get wool in most colours and only cost's about 50p if that a pair.

Crochet still has me beat though, you know when something just niggles you because you can't quite get it right. I can do the stitches and know the differance with UK and US but always end up lost and with either too many stitches or too little.

I like this also www.ravelry.com/projects/DorotheeWool/the-oddball-sampler-afghan and this www.ravelry.com/projects/Indigoblue/willow
Grin don't you just love rav?

Thank you! The onesies are my absolute fave thing to crochet, probably because I "invented" the pattern (well, nicked ideas off other people Grin)

The pattern is available, but only if you join the www.lisasstars.org.uk forum and make for them Wink
