Sticking pics in books yes, but with nice surrounding bits, titles , frames etc
I'm someone will give a better explanation that that in a min

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 19:54

Its a bit more than just cutting and sticking your pictures in a book

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 19:55

wanna see a couple of piccies????

katzguk · 10/11/2005 19:56

i've got over 100 pages now!

katzguk · 10/11/2005 19:56

its great

Zephyrcat · 10/11/2005 19:58

Would love to see some pics \Jayzmummy - I've always wondered about starting one up - I'm sure dd would love helping!

Twiglett · 10/11/2005 19:58

yes I do

I can't even get photographs in albums ..it is totally beyond me that people do this for fun (says the woman who painted over 60 t-shirts )

I'm glad you asked twig. I lurk on threads but am afraid to ask...
(Intrigued by one today that was apparently passed around.)
C'mon scrapbookers-lets see what you do.

Zephyrcat · 10/11/2005 20:01

(Are you still doing your t-shirts twiglett? I'm thinking of getting a couple of personalised ones for dd and ds)

expatinscotland · 10/11/2005 20:05

It's a highly addictive, mega fun hobby. LOVE it! Have done a Creative Memories on for DD and started one for DB - due in December.

katzguk · 10/11/2005 20:07

okay these aren't my pages but very like mine

scrapbook pages

Zephyrcat · 10/11/2005 20:13

They look really good! Definately something that I wouldn't mind trying - where do you begin?? Do you buy books with all the 'print' on them already?

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 20:14

These are a few pages that I made last month

moondog · 10/11/2005 20:18

Oooh jm! Very professional!

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 20:22

zephyrcat....my boys have just started having a go to. They are 9 and 11 and both enjoy making their scrapbooks. Aq's daughter has started too.

The pages are bought seperately and you build them up using cardstock and other papers. Its expensive if you dont learn to cut corners!!!

these are my boys pages and bits and bobs they did for a comp last month

kiwibelle · 10/11/2005 20:25

hahaha, laughing at the great family pic from Halloween. It's a great page JM... so much to see.

Zephyrcat · 10/11/2005 20:28

They're brill!! DD is only 3.11 but obsessed with arts and crafts so would love to do something like this. I'm sure I've seen a scrapbooking type shop somewhere around here so will have to have a look and see how expensive it is!!!

katzguk · 10/11/2005 20:31

anyone thinking of starting this with their DDs and DS's then the elc has a great starter kit for £10

scrapbook

the code holly will get you 20% off too

Hulababy · 10/11/2005 20:34

We have the ELc one and I also would recommend it. DD is 3.5yo and she has enjoyed spending time with me doing the odd page in a scrap book of her first year.

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 20:39

I went into ELC today to have a look for one of the scrapbook sets and they didnt have any left. Scrapbooking is becoming so popular in this country ATM that most stalls are now selling scrapping goodies.
The sets are great for kids but dont use any precious photos in them because the papers in the ELC ones are not acid free and they will damage your piccies over time.

Zephyrcat · 10/11/2005 20:50

Will def have a look in ELC then and hope they've got some in stock. What happens to the pics jayzmummy - will they be ruined just on the edges where the paper is or across the actual pic?

Hulababy · 10/11/2005 20:57

We have a digital camera, so for DD's photos we either print out ones on our own printer, or have them developed especially.

MrsMiggins · 10/11/2005 21:02

oh now Im annoyed

I want to go and watch Doc Martin but I now want to go and buy this stuff from ELC

have to come back later
