Best sites for selling on internet

Can anyone recommend sites that you use to sell your crafts? I've heard of Folksy and Etsys, but wondered if there are any others. I'll be doing needlecrafts and repros of my pen and wash illustrations for children's rooms. Also, any tips on presentation?

I've got a Folksy shop, it's UK based, Etsy is focussed on US, but there are UK shops on there. I find Folksy easier.

I'm SewCrafty. I haven't been on there a year yet but have made a couple of sales and use it as a tool to link to my FB page to let everyone know what i've been making. It's pretty cheap, items stay on there for 6 months.

Photos are cropped to square so i photograph as usual knowing that the sides will be chopped. I photograph using daylight, but not bright sunlight inside or in shade in the garden. I'm no pro but I'm happy with the results so far. I've pinched some neutral sample bits of wallpaper from B&Q as background for my items!

There's another thread on here which you may find useful about making stuff to sell at craft fairs. I got my dad who's good with photoshop to help me with my shop banner from a picture I took.

Good luck

I'm a folksy lass, I do have a little bit on etsy but not lots. And I used to have a Misi shop, but am in the process of ditching it. I'm Kryshees

I link to facebook too, which I think might be responsible for my recent sales (maybe)

Try to keep your pics 'clean' no random stuff in the corners or pics, tbh, have a look at lots of shops and get a feel fo the pics to see what you think you can do and go from there.

Look forward to seeing it all!

Thanks Kryshees, I love your baby changing mats. Wish my DD could use one of those but as she's 19 I'll have to wait for the grandchildren.

SewCrafty, I love your corsages. Thanks to both of you for your tips. I need to get going soon. I used to seel painted glass at craft fairs, but found people weren't always prepared to pay. Almost like they treated the craft fair like a jumble sale and expected jumble sale prices! My sister, a jeweller, calls them the 'blue raincoat' brigade - middle aged women who can certainly afford to pay, but prefer to criticise your work as if you're invisible, saying they could buy it cheaper in a department store (yes, mass-manufactered in China, of course! Angry), pick up everything, look at it, and then move on! I had to stop glass painting as the fumes made me ill, but feel the need to get creative again.
