IS thewre a nifty way of preventing my threads and bobbins from getting tangled in my sewing box?

However neatly I wind and store them they mutate into a gnarly, fankled knot overnight.

Bobbins in a bobbin box

I was just thinking about getting myself a spoolrack too! Thanks for the links

I was going to suggest that you invest in a bobbin holder. I have a blue doughnut looking thing which holds bobbins. However, I have just read about the plastic binding spines which are much cheaper. Apparently each ring will fit over the bobbin holding the threads in place and then clip in to hold it steady. I'm not sure how to paste a link, but google ingenious bobbin storage, it's on a quilting forum.

I got one of these thread holders from ebay, handmade in UK.

For your threads, what you need to do is build yourself a simple thread holder, you can find a great tutorial here

In my case, my DS made it, aged 7, so even if you don't have time to make it yourself you might be able to find another willing builder Grin

It saved my sanity, my thread spool holder.

For my bobbins, I have made a little rack (like a really thin kitchen paper holder) out of dowels, that the bobbins are all threaded onto.
