Quick things to crochet?

So I haven't had time to make anything in ages and still don't really, but I feel the urge to do something. So, if I only have 5-10 minutes here and there, and don't want to start a massive project, need something I can do from memory, what little things can I make?

Is it just flowers? It's always flowers!

these are cute. I saved this as a download from some site or other - can't remember what it was unfortunately.

Ooh yes, the owls, I had a whale earphone thing from there as well, but I don't have any stuffing anymoreSad
I seriously got rid of loads of my stash, was traumatising but had to be done, have no eyes, no stuffing, nothing but a few balls of my favourite colours, was to stop distracting me from studying!

bowls. Nobody seems to be quite as excited as I am by mine but they're quick and if they come out a bit odd you can either undo them or pretend that's what you intended!

do you have small girls in your life?! crocheted blankets for dolls (thanks Granny) are very popular here!

Catsmamma · 21/02/2011 22:37

you can expand on the crochet squares to do crochet patchwork

ilythia · 21/02/2011 22:38

OOh yes, doll blanket is good, I can just do granny squares (over and overGrin)

Or there's some lovely scalf patterns on Ravelry, there are loads of nice patterns that look very pretty but are really just a simple repeat so you can do them from memory and not worry about where you've left off

frazzledblob · 22/02/2011 11:47

how about a change from squares? Hexagons

kellestar · 22/02/2011 15:13

I also second the attic 24 hexagons, you can turn it into a scarf or various sized blankets.

This is similar...Scarf www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/afghan-scarf-2.

I've been working on a flower blanket, that's made up of 2 types of squares, one a daisy the other a rose. I've had to do 100 of each, which has taken a while but I worked in stages. Now on the edging of the squares before joining, monotonous but means they are easy to pick up/put down for when DD fusses.

ilythia · 22/02/2011 18:28

I've done amigurumi's to death (not literally, poor thingsGrin) so am not buying anymore stuffing until I finish my degree.

made a headband with another flower earlier.
I have never had the patience for a blanket, I tend to get bored after a few motifs but might use the hexagons for doll blankets as DD's are reaching that age.

Any other linkies?

Fingerless gloves? Just a square of crochet folded in half.
