Nursery craft ideas linked to CANDLES

Hello - hoping someone might be able to offer some inspiration...

I'm running a creche this Sunday and need a craft activity for 1 - 3yr olds that links to the subject 'Candles'.

Any ideas? Unfortunately I haven't got a load of toilet rolls so can't go down that route.

TIA

If you have some candles, let the children draw on paper with them, then paint over the top. The wax will show through.

Draw candlesticks cut out candles & flames

stick candles on candle stick, stick flame on top of candle

Can be done for a menorah, diwali lamp & advent candle........

Decorate baby food jars with tissue paper & glass pens for tealights (not to be lit)

Those beeswax strips can be wrapped round a 'wick' to make a candle, use a ribbon or string to 'tie' it together

Thanks everyone for your fab responses...unfortunately I've run out of time to order supplies on line so will probably go with the cutting out candlestick holders, candles and flames - can't go wrong with glue and sticking. Plus I could use yellow tissue paper for the flames.

Thank you Smile

You could cut out candle shapes from the middle of a sheet of paper/card (black works best) and then the could stick celophane/tissue paper over the gaps and they can be stuck on a window to make a 'stained glass' picture.
