I'd like to try making some beaded decorations for our tree next Xmas

Now, I know it's early to be thinking about this. But, in reality I have no idea where to start looking for inspiration or instructions. And I have no patience whatsoever lately

Can anyone advise as to where would be a good place to start looking?

TIA

What kind of beading?

This is a great site

put "Beaded Christmas decoration" into the search box...it's a friendly social crafting site and loads of different crafty ideas and instructions...plus people will give a lot of advice.

At DD's school they made beaded decorations.

They started with a snowflake shape made from metal which was in effect 6 prongs joined in the middle (if that makes sense!)

They then threaded each prong - one at a time - with beads and then the end was turned over with a pair of pliers. they continued round until the star was complete

A thin piece of ribbon was then threaded through one of the turned ends to hung.

They were very effective

I've done loads and can find you a basic pattern if you'd like.It is easy-I managed to teach a non beader to make one.The pattern I use is a beaded cover to fit over a bauble.Once you get more experienced you can add all sorts to it.
