I fancy having a go at patchwork (did it years ago but am in awe of the fabrics around these days)

I'd also like to try papier mache (want to make some bowls/plant pots) and make some proper cold process soaps. Might also have a bash at some teacup candles and I quite fancy pottery...

I would love to have a go at tapestry weaving although there's a large outlay for equipment. I'd also like to make a historical costume.
I tried jewellery making a while ago and really enjoyed it...I agree there aren't enough hours in the day. I need another lifetime to do all the things I'd like.

Zenagain, im having the same problem with a new machine. I used my mums for years but got a new singer this year. I used it once and then it started to jam and tangle up all the threads. It would hardly need serviced so soon

rudolpherina re machine and tangled threads - it sounds like your machine is not threaded correctly - i'd suggest unthreading everything and starting again. If this still happens perhaps the shop were you bought it from will have a quick look at it for you, they are usually willing to do this for no charge. Good luck.

I was thinking of giving tunisian crochet a go. I'm a pretty prolific knitter but not so great at crochet but i'd love to give it a shot anyway.

I'm planning on getting better at crochet, I learned last summer and it's really addictive and really not so difficult once you get the hang of it :)

MrsvWoolf I learned from my mum and then got a book called The Happy Hooker which is fab, the one thing to watch out for especially online is that US and UK crochet terms are different, grrrr, which is annoying!!
