Glass painting pens. Do they HAVE to be "heat fixed" in the oven?

Think I may have messed up!
Dd1 and I have just spent a happy few hours decorating various glass storage jars to fill with sweets for her to give to people for Christmas.
She also decorated a candle within a glass holder for her teacher.
It's only now they're dry and I'm ready to putthem in the oventhat I realised that I can't of course put thecandle in!! Bugger!
Or could I? If I tethered the wick then the wax would melt then reset no?

Otherwise if I don't heat set them what will happen? I'm guessing they'll just smiudge?
Hope this all makes sence, am on my phone

If you still have the pack the pens came from check what it says, or if the manufacturer has a website/helpline, check that or phone them (if you're really concerned)
I use glass paints (not pens) a lot for my craft work and have never put anything I've painted in the oven to be fixed. Once theyre dry theyre fine.

They are glass and porcelain pens from yellow moon.
They're water based and it says to heat fix them you cook in a non preheated oven at 160 for 30 mins.

Sigh!

A lot of my glass paints are water based and I dont bother. But they do need to completely dry out - I tend to leave them for 24 hours in my office (not particularly hot or anything).
As all the decoration is on the outside I can't see it would be a problem, although it may be an idea to put the sweets in a clear bag inside the jars (that way the stickiness wont need washing off after the sweets have gone). You could also put a note or lable on the bottom, saying hand made, not washable.

Thank you.

They've been above the aga for 6 hours or so and I'll leave them overnight.

Phew!
