pinboard

I want it to be at least 60 by 60 or maybe 60 by 80cm. Don't know what to use as the base, I'm guessing it's wadded with the sort of stuff you might stuff a teddy with? I think I can staple the fabric over. I want two in my newly decorated kitchen and am convinced I can make them for a lot less than £50 each

Plyboard, thin chipboard or similar
quilt wadding - get it on a roll in fabric shops - a few quid
ribbon - a couple of quid for a roll
flat stapler (borrow if poss)

I've got plans to make one and I was just going to recycle the back of an old poster clip frame we have.

The ribbon is also pinned at each point where they cross. Upholstery tacks?? B&Q might have some, or haberdashers / fabric shops ?
I think drawing pins would pop back out again!
