Red blood cell and white blood cell count

Hi,

I am currently in my 3rd trimester and in the USA after relocating earlier this year from the UK. I have had some bloods drawn recently with the guided "normal" ranges given in the USA as follows:

  1. Red blood cell count - 3.9 to 5.4 M/ul
  2. Hemoglobin - 12 to 15.5 g/dl
  3. Hematocrit - 35 - 47%
  4. White blood cell - 4.0 - 11.0 K/uL

Can anyone tell me how these "normal" ranges compare to the UK?

I have only been able to find information on the NHS website for Hemoglobin which seems to suggest that "normal" in 3rd trimester is >110g/L (11.0g/dL) which is slightly lower than the USA. My current level is 11.2 g/dl.

I ask because I have been flagged as mildly anaemic over here due to falling below the USA recommended ranges, although no supplements have been prescribed just nutritional advice. On the flip side my white blood cell count has come back on the cusp of normal/ high per the American ranges.

Many TIA!

They are the same as what we use in my hospital for pregnant women. We would also give dietary advice with that Hb. Have a glass of orange juice with every meal.
