Hi, I am 22 years old and expecting my first child. I had a NT and a blood test last week and it was NT: 2.98, Free beta hcg: 105.40 and Papp-a: 5.339 IU/l. It changed to 3.025 MoM and 1.407 MoM. Those results led to a 1/106 chance of down’s syndrome. Has anyone had a similar experience and received positive news from the Nipt test? I am going on Tuesday but I am very stressed about all this.

1/106 is less than 1% chance. So over 99% chance there is not Downs present.

I had similar odds for Downs and worse odds for Edwards and Patau. (About 1/40). All was fine. Hope all goes well for you too.

Nope chose not to have those kind of tests because our children would be loved however they were. We have 4 and there all good 😊 but a family member did have those tests several years ago and the chance of downs was much higher, they decided to abort the pregnancy and afterwards found the test had been wrong, they've since had 3 other children but still constantly talking what if they hadnt

That means that for 106 people with the same numbers, 1 will have a baby with Down’s syndrome. 105 will have a baby without. So, yes, there are many, many people who have come out with a positive outcome.
Good luck and hugs.

@Ladyj84 I understand what you're trying to say, but just to highlight that choosing screening or diagnostic tests does mean the child is not loved regardless, it just means that some people want more information about their child in order to make decisions, with love, about what is best for them.
