AC measuring large

Hey, has anyone had the abdominal circumference measuring large? And they said my amniotic fluid is slightly high. They said that baby looks fine but it's on the large side. I've been cleared for gestational diabetes. I could kick myself because I don't feel that I've asked enough questions. I'm going back in 2 weeks for another scan. I'm currently 32+5

Yes the AC was huge with both of my babies. Like off the charts by miles. Both babies measured in the very high (99th+) centiles for the all of the other measurements but for both of them the AC was above the top line.

Both were big babies - 11lbs (at 40wks exactly)and 8lbs9oz (delivered a week early) but perfectly happy and healthy.

They were both long and I'm pretty small so they were extremely squashed - the 11lber had positional talipes from being squashed up.

Try not to worry - measurements can be a useful indicator for the clinical staff but they are not the be all and end all. They can be quite inaccurate the further on you are, plus a large measurement doesn't have to mean anything sinister. They worry about small babies or babies where the measurements are very varied.

Thank you @NotReallyFeelingIt that's really put my mind at ease. I've always thought I'm having a big baby anyway as I am huge 🤣 they said it's just off the scale for 97th centiles. I'm having another scan now in 2 weeks so they can check my amniotic fluid level and they have mentioned possibly inducing me at 38 weeks.
