22 weeks - Femur length 2.5 percentile

Hi
So I'm having non identical twins - DIDI - boy/girl. At the 20 week and 22 week scans the little girl twin is measuring much smaller. But it's her femur length which has got me most concerned - below the 5th centile - probably closer to the 2.5th centile.

Obviously google comes up with some really bad outcomes but just wondered if anyone had experienced the same?

I'm also currently pregnant with boy/girl twins and my girl twin is also measuring small! Femur lengths were a similar percentile and it all looked really concerning to me. I had a cvs at 13 weeks for other reasons so consultant is happy that there's no chromosomal issues and it's likely that I'm just having small babies!

I'm guessing you're consultant led as well, have they said much? It's such a worrying time I don't think I will stop stressing until they're hereBlush

Ah glad there is another twin mummy to be here!

I'm consultant led too and have been transferred over to the foetal medicine specialist team due to my little girl twin size. The consultant doesn't seem to think there is anything to worry about at the moment - I think it's me that's spending too much time on google! But I get the feeling there isn't really much they can do anyway and there isn't anything I can do in terms of diet or rest which will make her grow either so it feels like such a waiting game counting down to the next scan (which isn't for another month now when I'll be 26 weeks)

These are much wanted IVF babies after 6 miscarriages and ectopics but double the babies double the worry and I don't think I'll be able to relax until I can bring them home!
The one thing the consultant said is because she has measured small from day 1 - always up to a week behind her brother based on CRL length and because it was two different embryos I transferred there were at 2 different stages she's less concerned than she would be if they were identical twins x

I had non identical twin girls 4 years ago. Twin 2 had femur length which was at the very bottom of the centile chart. It was worrying at the time. When she was she was fine.

They are both the same height still and have been very similar heights since birth. Twin 2 is sporty, active and very strong since she was tiny. I still have no idea why her femur measured small, apart from the fact they are both still on the small side. But my ds is small too dh and I are an average height.

I hope everything is okay for you both.
