Growth scan

I've had a phone consultation with my consultant. C-section due to previous sections.
Have had ALOT of miscarriages between all pregnancies. (12) 3 full term healthy pregnancies. Consultant has booked me in for a growth scan at 36 weeks. Is this normal? Ive never been offered one before and he called earlier than the appointment time so I was driving and had to take the call so wasnt able to have a full discussion as was rushing about to trying to be back for the appointment time an hour later!
I dont really know the reason for one at 36 weeks as obviously they aim to deliver 3 weeks later?! Has anyone had this, it's made me a little anxious. I know baby measured a little big at last midwife app but that's handwritten notes and dont think he has access to that, and she clearly said she wasnt concerned atm...

I'm 37+3 weeks and they called me in for growth scans one at 34 weeks, one at 36 and Iv got another at 38 because I had a small (ish) baby 2 years ago but previous to that had 10 miscarrriages. They said it's just for monitoring and if baby appears to be small they will look at delivering her. So far the 2 growth scans Iv had looked good and baby was still gaining weight x

Ah ok, so potentially being cautious. It just threw me as I've only had 1 miscarriage since previous pregnancy and wasnt offered this with previous pregnancy.

I believe that some trusts are now offering 36 week scans to all women as standard because potential problems can be picked up. It may well be that it's just protocol in your area.

I had growth scans from 26 weeks every 3 weeks . It’s very normal if you’re high risk

I dont think I'm considered high risk, if I am I'm not aware. I had midwife yesterday and she was equally confused by it.
