Stomach Bubbles

Hi everyone,

I had my anomaly scan on Monday, consultant couldn't see the stomach bubble. Came back today and she could see a very small one but it didn't fill throughout my appointment. I'm being referred to the RVI in Newcastle to see a specialist. Very worried! Anyone gone through this or know what to expect if something is wrong?

Thanks, Gemma

Gosh this took me back! I just got your notification via email. So we were referred to the RVI and again a stomach bubble wasn't seen. We were spoken to about a TOF. Remember breaking down in the room as she told me. We came back again a few weeks later and a stomach bubble was seen! It was like a miracle as that was scan 4 or 5 of no proper bubble. Seb was born on 1st May 2020, with absolutely NO issues at all! They checked there was no TOF by putting a tube into his throat very early after birth and came back absolutely fine. I'm so grateful for the NHS for being very precautious and letting us know what could be happening but thankfully everything was OK. I could however have 100% done without the pure stress and worry that I had for months on end!! We're now getting ready to celebrate Seb's first birthday. Know exactly how you're feeling, please let us know how your results go. If little one does have a TOF, I joined a Facebook page and the technology now is amazing and most have no issues at all xxx

Oh my goodness @Gemamy1984!!! I had taken your silence to mean it was a bad outcome and I was worried I had triggered you. Glad that’s not the case. All I can say is WOW!!! No problems at all? This is beautiful. Congrats mama!!. I can relate because I broke down in my obgyn’s office this week and also broke down before my amnio procedure. It’s certainly a tough time to go through. It’s my 1st pregnancy, I’m a single mum, I could really do with some great news from NHS right now. I will update u all on Monday when I get results. I need to have the hope and strength to go on especially if the amnio results are clear. Thanks luv & I’m happy for u.
