Lack of options for screening

Hi all, I am currently just over 11 weeks pregnant with my first child, with my 12 week scan booked for Thursday. I had an early scan at 7 weeks and all was well at that point. I have realised that because I am based in Northern Ireland, the nuchal translucency test will not be done at this scan. In fact there will be no screening done unless I request the quad test which I believe is done at 16 weeks.

from reading other people's experiences I expected the NT test or a blood test at 12 weeks and the scan now feels like it'll be a little 'unfinished' without any kind of screening result, percentages for certain syndromes etc, which is making me feel a bit anxious.

My understanding is that my options are as follows:

  1. Hold off and wait to either elect to have or not have the quad test at 16 weeks
  2. Pay to have the harmony test. None of the private clinics in Northern Ireland offer the NT test any longer (not sure why!) so this is not an option

Just wondering if anyone has any views on this? Obviously having a harmony test that comes back clear would be great but at this point it'll be too late to do it before Xmas anbyway... but then I also understand that the quad test is less accurate than harmony?

Feeling a bit confused. I'm also concerned that thanks to horrible google I've been having a look myself at normal / abnormal NT tests so I'll be looking out for this at the scan and it'll be a horrible awkward unspoken thing!

I'm 33, OH is 35.
