Medical Termination of pregnancy of 22 weeks for to fetal abnormalities

Can anyone tell me living in England, how medical termination is completed, is it a procedure where you are given general anaesthetic and the baby is removed or do you have to go through labour

I'm sorry this is happening to you.
In my case I had an injection through my stomach to stop the babies heart, then an induction of labour.

11 years ago I was offered this procedure, it was labour

It is labour. For me this wasn't entirely negative, DP and I benefitted from seeing our baby.

I had a baby die at twenty weeks so went through an induction of sorts to deliver the fetus and then a general anaesthetic for an ERPC. I found it very tough if I'm honest even though everyone was very kind. so sorry you are going through this.
