Combined Screening tests

Hi everyone

So it turns out that pregnancy has brought out the insane worrier in me. I have never worried like this before and every time one worry is sorted I just find another one.

Current worry is the results of our combined screening test. We had our first scan on Monday which was amazing. I am 13+1 and aged 31. From what I can tell my age is not a risk factor for the 3 syndromes being screened for, but does anyone know what else they use to decide if you are high or low risk?

Thanks so much

Xx

Did the midwife not discuss the screening with you?
You have a blood test and then with factors of your weight, age, ethnicity, smoker, diabetic the babies crl and the NT measurement and your blood it produces a risk. You will get a number back: so
Cld be anything for example 1:700, 1:7000, etc. If you come
Back as 1:150 or below that is classed As high risk and if you want to you can have further testing if you wish too.
Does that help a little a little?
