Abnormal 20 week scan

Hi, I’m 20w4d today and had my anatomy scan. There is a cardiac deformity, she wouldn’t say anything other than she could not see all 4 chambers of the heart. Also, which are worrying me even more so, she queried increases nuchal measurements and possible inturning of the feet therefore the risk of downs is high.
I am beyond devastated. I am 30 and have a 17mo DD and I just keep thinking of the impact this will have on her.
I have had bloods taken for the harmony test and awaiting referral for fetal medicine and cardiac.
Is there anyone out there that has been in a similar position? I am trying to cling to any possible hope that it is not chromosomal

I remember this worrying time well. My little boy was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at 21 weeks. There is a wealth of information and support out there - I wish I had known that when we were in the thick of it, but I didn't find out until after he had had his heart surgery. Hope you're doing ok xx

Hi @Baby19

I'm afraid I can't explain the scan report to you and I hope you have had some answers by now (I think probably because this is an old thread not many people will have found your question), but I can highly recommend speaking to ARC: www.arc-uk.org/ who can hopefully explain the report and maybe talk you through what it means.
It sounds like you should also be speaking to the local fetal medicine team, so give your midwife a call and check that you have been referred.

Good luck
