I don't know what to do

This is my first post and unfortunatley it isn't a happy one.

I am currently 13+6 pregnant with my first child. At our 12 week scan we were given the devastating news that our baby had a 9mm nuchal fold as well as fluid on the back and abdomen. I had CVS 5 days ago and was told that the nuchal fold had reached 14mm. The results of the CVS were positive for Turner's syndrome. They told us that due to the high nuchal fold and the fact the fluid was now inside of the babies stomach the chance of survival would be slim.

We are devastated and have spoke at length with both of our families, we have made the decision to have a termination for medical reasons and was planning on ringing the FMU back on Monday to let them know.

Last night I had a couple of sharp pains in my right hip and felt very sick and hot. At around 5am I got up to use the toilet and noticed slight cramping pains in my abdomen. The pains have been there since but are quite mild. I'm aware that its common to have growing pains but these seem to be more frequent than what I've experienced in the past.

I haven't been bleeding and the pain isn't bad enough that I feel I need to take any pain killers. I'm just not sure if I should ring the MAU and let them know, or if I should wait to see if the pains get worse/start passing blood.

This is my first pregnancy so I have no experience of normal pains or mc pains. Can anyone tell me what they think I should do? I don't want to ring the MAU and look like i'm being overly dramatic about niggly pains :(

Hiya I would Mau honestly they will want to know how you are and how your doing when your pregnant pains are similar to period cramps and they don't come on all day etc, a few niggles here and there. What you have described reminds of a fever an or an infection somewhere. You defo need to call in and tell them this. I'm also so sorry for what you and your partner are going through it's really tough not just physically but mentally to go through something like this and I hope you have support and receive it too. Best of luck to you phoning and I hope you feel better soon x

Thank you for your reply. I definitely don't feel 'right' but part of me thinks is this just because it's very hot weather at the moment or because of the stress of an upcoming termination. I'm just not sure. My partner isn't home at the moment so I think I'm going to have a shower and things just in case they do want me to go into hospital, then ring the MAU when he comes home.
