Gloscose in urine? Advice please

I'm expecting DC3, I never had gestational diabetes with my other two and never needed to take the glucose intolerance test before. I saw the midwife yesterday who said there was a hit of glucose in my wee.
I had a coffee with two heaped sugars in a couple of hours before the appointment, could it be down to that?
I'm panicking now because I'm worried about gestational diabetes.
Has anyone had glucose and been ok?

I think lots of women leak a little glucose in their urine in pregnancy without having GD. Are they going to do any further tests or just recheck your tribe?

I'm seeing midwife again in 3 weeks so will be 30 weeks by then. She'll obviously test my urine again then and maybe send for further tests if it's still there. Had a trace of protein the week before too but that's gone now.
Do I just try and cut sugar down in my diet?

I once had this with DS1. The midwife didn't seem worried after I told her I had had porridge with brown sugar for breakfast Blush! I didn't have GD. Obviously it's something to keep an eye on, but I wouldn't panic!

Unless you have Glucose at two separate occasions there's no need to refer for GTT with no other clinical indications for GDM. (NICE 2015) I suspect the coffee was probably responsible! If you're concerned get a specimen pot from Gp and ask for the practice nurse to dip it. HTH 😊
