TFMR - what to take?

So as you know my amnio results came back positive and we have taken the very difficult decision to end the pregnancy. I now this choice isn't for everyone but I ask that this decision is respected.

My question is how to prepare for the delivery, we are going in tomorrow. I'm assuming I'm effectively packing the same bag as I did when I had my DD? Nightie, some clean clothes incase I'm in overnight, some maternity pads/towels, and drinks/snacks?

For those that have been through this, anything else you would advise? I'm struggling to think straight :(

My baby was born at an earlier gestation by ERPC so my experience was different but yes, you will need mostly the same things as you had when you were in labour with your DD. Depending on gestation you might want to bring something for the baby. My baby was 13+2 so I brought a tiny blanket for him to be wrapped in. If your baby is a bit older you might want to bring in a little hat and or a dolls nappy.

iPod to listen to whilst you do the inevitable waiting about.
Nightie in case you need to stay in
Lots of snacks and drinks
Magazines/books/kindle. Distraction is good.
Lots of maternity pads & painkillers.

I had l&d termination & I was home same the day as I went in, which was a relief.

Definitely lots of magazines or puzzle books etc, I found there was so much waiting around, think I went in at 7, didn't get started until 1pm and no pain or twinges or anything for at least two hours after that so mostly I was just sat waiting. Snacks good too as hospital food was awful and I didn't get offered any until the evening either.

Lots to keep your mind occupied, I had to deliver my little boy on Saturday, I was 18+2, it was a very long day but we had a tv and DVD player in our room so it was a good distraction whilst waiting around!
Such a horrible experience I'm still so emotional about it but was very relieved once it was over!
I didn't even think about clothes luckily the had them for him, but they are so tiny they need to be dolls clothes!
Good luck I hope the day goes quickly for you
Xxx
