Has anyone with this high risk got a baby with normal chromosomes?
My hcg was really high over 4 Mom and the other one (AFP?) was really low.
I am also wondering if the chromosomes are ok, where does this high/low levels come from? Is there other problems present?

bumping for you - sorry, no personal experience.

Effectively this means that you have a 33% risk of having a Downs baby and 66% that it will not have Downs Syndrome. Only 1.6% of ladies screened as positive will not have a positive result. A risk more than 1:150 is considered high positive.

Approximately 1 woman in 15 who screen positive will have an affected pregnancy x

I'm sorry you have this worry. How was your scan? Were there any soft markers on the scan? I had a risk of 1:2 (and a positive Down's result) but there were also indicators on the scan that the baby wasn't healthy.

I had the amnio on monday. The scan afterwards looked fine, although it was not possible to check if the nose bone was there, because of the babys position. I should get the results by friday.

Hi. I just got the first results. No down or 13- or 18-trisonomies :)
Te rest of the results will come in two weeks.
