What are you views about the test? Will you be or have your had it and how do you / did you deal with the results.

DP wants me to have it and abort if the baby has DS but I'm not so sure

I would definitely test and definitely have an abortion. My brother was born with Downs and what people don't realise is the different levels of Downs that there is. My brother for example is severely mentally impaired and will need 24hr care and support all his life. His mental level is of a 12-18 month old. He cannot speak, needs to be fed, washed, dressed and is incontinent.
Couples need to think long and hard before continuing with a pregnancy like this. It is a lifelong responsibility for both you and your future children. It's very easy when they are young but so much more difficult when they are adults.

The doctore Just told a friend of mine today she has 2 percent chance of having a down syndrome baby due to the blood screening test result. She has been crying since i don't know what to tell her.

A 2% chance is tiny.

Thanks. Even me I've been crying with her. Is there anybody in the house with this chance level and still has it negative in the long run she's 36 though.

I've a child with Downs. It's not the end of the world.

She needs to decide if she wants further testing eg an amino which will tell her for definite and take it from there. But I think with a risk that low they might not offer her further testing.
