Im asking about you not baby I wanted to ensure I got my friend a few little bits for herself once baby is here as I think whilst lots of blankets, baby grows, comfortors etc. Are adorable and helpful you get so many and often you want to choose your own anyway.

Mine were:

  • Meals I had batch cooked
  • A big water bottle
  • Some fancy cereal bars
  • A session with an IBCL member when I needed some additional support.
  • A Katie Loxton changing backpack so I still felt 'me' rather than just mumsy.
  • Pretty much any nursing clothes from H&M, there all brilliant.
  • Some fancy new mum body lotion my husband treated me to so when I did get 30 seconds to myself I could have a little pamper.

Obviously some there more essential than others but all useful/comforting in their own ways. What were yours?

Cereal bars are an absolute must
A really fancy shower gell for when I did get the chance

A decent hand cream is a must and nice lounge wear.

Painkillers!!

Small individual snack sized foods that can be stored beside the bed and grazed on during never ending night feeds

Nice bottle of alcohol of choice! Something like baileys or kahlua is good as you can have a small gulp of it and save the rest for later!

Apologies hope no one has found this post insensitive I've only just noticed this thread is for antenatal/postnatal depression, the depression part didn't come up on my screen.

Looks like we all agree on the cereal bars part! Ps. If any of you are still expecting you can get huge size packs of eat natural /kind bars for dirt cheap on amazon 😘
