C-section pain

Hi ladies, I had a c-section just over 3 weeks ago. I’ve found recovery in general a struggle. However about 2 weeks ago, I started to feel better. Then a few days ago, I felt rubbish again. I feel like I’ve gone backwards. In particular my stomach, abdominal area and thigh feels very achy and painful. It’s more so on my left side and more noticeable whenever I transfer. I’ve spoken with the postnatal ward who didn’t seem concerned. They checked my incision and seemed happy with that. So I’m not sure what’s causing the pain. Anyone else experience something similar? Thanks.

I had quite a lot of pain as the nerves and deep tissue healed. If you have fever or start feeling feverish, call 111.

Is transfer a typo?

It could be because you were feeling a lot better you did a bit more than usual and because you are still very much healing its taken its toll. I remember with my c-section it took a good 6 months to feel back to physical fitness (back to full exercise routine fitness) but even after that sometimes I would still the odd twinge of pain from my scar. The recovery is long and it ebbs and flows. If you don't feel right though I would 100% go see your GP. I think that sometimes it's easy for health professionals to brush off concerns like these simply because they are from birth and if it was only major abdominal surgery minus a birth you would receive a lot more aftercare. Hope you're OK.x
