I did the Edinborough test last night online and scored 17 (I think?), and it suggested getting help.
So I was wondering a few things,
If I did go to the docs, other than meds is there anything else they can do to help?
Is it normal with PND to feel better somedays than others? Like today I was able to laugh and smile earlier and I'm feeling generally better, but lots of days I'm not able to do this.
Just feel like I'm bottling up everything right now, and dont really know how to bring stuff like this up with him
Thanks in advance

Deffinately it's normal to feel 'normal' some days and really bad others, everyone ahs ups and downs. If you're the slightest bit worried, make a few notes of how you feel and things you think are triggering emotional responses for a couple of days/up to a week. Then take it to the GP.
They refered me to psychiatrist and gave meds, but I've never been good at talking abou things (proabably part of the issue!) and hated every minute of being there.. felt really uncomfortable, and made me feel alot worse as I was really dreading going.
For me it was definately the meds that made a difference. It made me stable, and gave me enough balance to get things going again, and get into a rountine, and move on to happier things. I really don't think any amount of counselling would have helped me, as I felt it made things worse.

Make a little diary, and this will give you a good starting point. You could even just hand it over and wait for the questions if you really don't want to talk.

All the best. Remember it does get better, but will take time.
xx

Thankyou penguins it has given me something to think about, made me realise some of the triggers.
Is it normal to feel a bit of paranoia with PND?
