Please help me settle a minor disagreement!

Toddler did a poo less than half an hour before bedtime. I scooped him up to change, but DP said don't bother, I'll be giving him a bath in twenty minutes anyway. It wasn't a dramatic nappy-filler or anything but it was smelly! I've always thought you should change a dirty nappy as soon as possible to avoid rashes etc. but DP is far more laid back about this stuff. It was only twenty minutes before he did finally take the nappy off but I wasn't happy and let him know! So WIB an unreasonable fusspot?

I would have changed the nappy as soon as I knew it was dirty. I would not have let somebody dictate to me when my child can be changed.

I would have brought bath time forward and let him have a lovely long play in a bubbly bath.

I wouldn't want to leave him sitting in poo for 20 minutes, the house would stink and it must be uncomfortable!

I would have just bathed him a bit earlier.

I wouldn't have put him in a clean diaper that close to bath time but I wouldn't have left him sit in it, either. I would have just done bath time earlier.
