mumof2children · 09/07/2010 01:32

you both need to be 100% sure this for you, and him for himself and his body. he can't do it for you, if he is he needs to cancel. it needs to be him NEVER wanting to father another child, ever, under any circumstance.

because this is permanent contraception. even if he won the EuroMil today, a reversal might not work.

should never be counted on.

if he feels this is wrong for him then he needs to cancel.

this procedure is happening to him, to his body, under his control.

i was willing to be sterilised, ready to go through with it, although for me it was going to be an even bigger procedure in that we live rurally, i'd have to travel long and far and stay overnight for the surgery.

but he decided it was for him.

100%.

if anything but then cancel.

What's wrong with using condoms? I don't and won't take hormonal contraception any more either, and have no intention of ever doing so again, so we've used condoms since 2003.

mumof2children · 09/07/2010 02:03

i have a latex allergy, so condoms are very expensive

Ah, I see. Hmm. That rules out other barrier methods, too, doesn't it? Diaphagm, etc?

dizietsma · 09/07/2010 02:42

You might be able to get the non-latex condoms in bulk on prescription from GP, so possibly cheaper?

nooka · 09/07/2010 02:44

Are you sure it's not jut wobbles? dh had the snip five years or so ago and it's been wonderful to stop worrying. Our sex life has significantly improved. But I still worried just before as to whether it was the right thing to do.

gobsmackedetal · 09/07/2010 06:19

pathces, patches. Couldn't use any pills, patches saved my life. Many GPs don't know what they are, go informed, def worth a try.

mumof2children · 09/07/2010 22:35
