to scare a 34 week pregnant woman!!

dp has started looking through the windows when he gets home instead of coming through the door, he says he likes the excitment on dd's face when she sees him

the other day he came through the door quietly and sneaked into the room wer were in, scared the crap outta me...

thats not funny is it?

No it is not

Have you tried scaring him?

Psammead · 07/07/2010 13:29

oh I hate being scared. HATE it. I'd have punched him out of instinct.

biddysmama · 07/07/2010 13:30

Oh yes, there are many things a pregnant woman could do to scare a bloke.

Some sort of rubber "alien" perhaps?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 07/07/2010 14:05

YANBU. Close the curtains, that'll learn him.

berri · 07/07/2010 14:30

PMSL at Milady's idea!

lazarusb · 07/07/2010 17:04

Fake labour evil laugh....

TeeBee · 07/07/2010 17:08

My DH tried to scare me once by grabbing me whilst I was in shower from behind the shower curatin. I actually did punch him in the face through instinct. Hasn't happened again!!

slushy · 07/07/2010 17:13

ohhh def do the water thing .

MomBombadil · 07/07/2010 17:16

Or paint a space hopper face on your belly and scare him in the night....

iamamug · 07/07/2010 17:17

My bloody DH scares me all the the time and now my DSs (3 of them!!!) like to do it too. I HATE it with a passion and the more fuss I make, the more they like it! We have been married for 18 years and he hasn't grown out of it yet... should have stabbed him on the honeymoon.........
He also thinks water pistols are terrific fun..

OrientCalf · 07/07/2010 17:21

my friend's MOTHER used to put on a mask and wake up her teenaged children in the night to frighten them when she'd had a few

weirdly they have a great relationship

lazarusb · 07/07/2010 19:03

Orient- that's fantastic! I am going to try that

flibbertigibbert · 07/07/2010 19:31

That's not at all funny.

The other week I was tidying my bedroom with the door open. Suddenly I saw a pair of eyes peering through the bannisters in the landing. DP had been standing on the stairs watching me through the bannisters. I was absolutely terrified and close to tears. DP had thought it would be hilarious

matumble · 07/07/2010 19:39

my dh turned up early from work whilst i was pregnant on a day he absolutely could not (or so i thought) be home early, i very nearly did him some damage with whatever i was holding in the kitchen, rolling pin i suspect, as i ran out into the hall ready to deal with the intruder!

IndigoSky · 07/07/2010 19:41

I agree re fake labour. Next time he does it double over in pain and yell really loudly. Or do the pretend breaking waters thing.

Or keep a jug of water by you and throw it in his face...

HairExtensions · 07/07/2010 19:49

he really shouldn't do that in your condition . . .

but . . . I really like scaring people.

I once hid in the wardrobe when I heard DH returning home then when he came in the room I very slowly and creakily opened the door - he nearly shit himself.

I have also scared my workmates, family etc before.

Oh God, I am horrible! Sorry!
