I feel your pain. Here we have a rule of PC or TV - you can't be on both at once.

In fact, DH has gone out (about two hours ago in fact) and the football is STILL on...

I'm sitting here in a room with the footie on the tv. DH is in the kitchen.

MaudofallHopefulness · 29/06/2010 21:22

Yes, DH is snoring in front of the Spain v Portugal game. If I even reach for the remote he wakes up.

Haven't watched any Wimbledon this year which I love. Between him and DS's Peppa Pig, the tv is out of bounds for me.

i just came on here to post exactly this - dp wanted the lap top (whilst watching football) i said sweetly 'why have you finished watching this match now darling?' he said no, so he didnt get the bloody laptop which i am using!

Men cant bloody multi-task anyway!
Saying that DP gets screamed at for picking his toes or that hard skin on his hands - its minging! yuck!

TottWriter · 29/06/2010 21:30

I feel so lucky. DP won't protest if I switch the telly over, though he does constantly go out into the kitchen, turn the radio on, gt a glass of water (or some equally short task) then walk out leaving the radio on.

I mean, ffs, if you're in there for three seconds, what's the freaking point?

It's my DS who causes the problems with the telly in our house. He's 2, but likes it on in the background. We're in the process of weaning him off the background noise addiction. He never watches it, but the other day screamed for a solid ten minutes when we put Wimbledon on. Couldn't hear a dratted thing. Still, it's a good thing we've realised this now, and not when he's grown into a real addict .
