Have you tried it? Does it work?

It's bloody brilliant! Dh and I lost 2 stones each on it. We low carb during the week and relax at the weekend now.

The recipe book is what makes it stand out from other low carb plans, not to mention the humour and the honesty.

I did it in 2007 lost about 7lbs. Found it hard to stick to. Started Weightwatchers about 2 months ago and to be honest it has been much more effective for me. 16lbs so far. Haven't been this "light" for 10 years.

saw picture of india knight this weekend - looks like the 'idiot proof' diet didn't work, she looks fat again.... wonder how neris is doing and is the book still selling? am fed up with all these slebs diet books and fitness videos - they ALWAYS get fat again as soon as they have made a ton of money out of us suckers - see natalie cassidy, anne diamond, kerry katona et al...

kerry katona, ann diamond, natalie cassidy et al ... all conned us out of our money with diet books and dvds only to get fat again pretty pronto - looks from recent pics like india knight and her 'idiot proof' diet just the same - wonder how neris is? god love them but really it is infuriating, all that posing about how easy it is and changing habits forever is rubbish they all practically ALWAYS put on the weight again (see sunday times yesterday)

Just seen Anne Diamond on the Matthew wright shoe. She looks pretty slim to me.

Old fashioned I know but I'm all about the F Plan diet. I read this as a teenager back in the 80's and it just totally appealed to me. I've been eating a 'brown diet' ever since.

If I'm feeling a bit blobby I just replace a few meals with a lovely big bowl of all bran (which I love - really!) and it makes me feel light again.

Any diet which encourages potato eating is a winner for me - I could never and will never attempt low carbing, in any guise.

i got the book then i decided it was skirting around a proper LC diet and decided to do the proper thing.

losing weight is a simple formula, eat less shit and exercise more. its no more complicated than that..or is it?

i noticed on a radio adver tthe other day that WW are talking about the emotional side of food and incorporating this into what they do - which for those skinny people who dont understand why its so hard, is a major thing.

i lost weight LCing. that is my plan. however i recognise that no single weigh loss plan is going to work for everyone.

there is no quick fix and whatever you adopt had to be a life change - or the weight will go back on.

if you are intrested in LCing, i have some info on my MN blog ( click on my name)

It does work especially if your body chemistry is such that carbs really do make you fat because your body cannot process them - if you are glucose intolerant an heading toward type 2 diabetes. It's also easier than a low fat diet. Which isn't saying much but you don't have to be hungry on this. It's still a diet though.:(
