My dd had her last day at nursery . I blame the teacher, she set me off after dd gave her a hug. My baby is growing up. Oh and im 31 weeks pregnant so its easy to set me off lol

My ds is going full time in September I am really going to miss him .

GillianLovesMarmite · 28/06/2010 21:33

I think it's entirely understandable! It's a sign that your daughter is growing up - as well as a sign that you're hormonal . I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have a 2 and a half year old and I totally know where you're coming from!

roomonthebroom · 28/06/2010 21:33

YANBU at all. I think I'll be doing the same tomorrow!

Oh yes - I cried very much when both mine left Playgroup

Meglet · 28/06/2010 21:35

don't . I'm dreading this day, DS has another year left and DD has 3 years to go. Might stock up on valium before then...

usualsuspect · 28/06/2010 21:35

Me and my big strapping 16 year old ds both cried when he left his secondary school he was my last one at school tho

feedthegoat · 28/06/2010 21:35

If you are then I am unreasonable for crying on the day ds left playgroup last year.

I was just holding it together when leader gave speech saying thet it would be lovely to see some of us again with younger children but very sad that some of us wouldn't cross paths again. I have (and will only have) one child and was struggling with it a little.

I couldn't even say goodbye to staff, I dashed into car park and sobbed .

starshaker · 28/06/2010 21:37

But we had an agreement that she wasnt allowed to grow up. And now im gonna have to deal with a double whammy when the twins start and stop nursery. At least i have a few years before i need to deal with that and prepare myself

star totally unreasonable and to blame it on being pregnant

dobbyssocks · 28/06/2010 21:56

yanbu I'm dreading ds1 leaving pre-school in a few weeks, the last session is a "graduation" party for all the leavers and apparently there's never a dry eye in the place - I cried when he went for his big school visit a few weeks ago and I keep welling up at the thought of his leaving party and I'm not even pregnant!

elmofan · 29/06/2010 13:35

my dd finishes up in her pre-school tomorrow & i reckon ill be in tears
she had a little graduation party last week & a photographer came to take all their pictures & the children all wore caps & gowns , it was lovely .
