To accuse my house of eating a pair of trousers

On Monday evening I took out three pairs of navy trousers for DS's nursery uniform. I left them on the upstairs bannister to which I added three pairs of socks and three pants.

DH then took the whole lot downstairs and put it all on the sofa. I didn't get around to packing the nursery bag till Tuesday morning. Then there were only TWO pairs of trousers. Where has the other one gone?? So I've been looking since then, and nothing. WTF How can a whole pair of trousers go missing between one floor and the next in a house? I can understand socks maybe, but trousers??

My house has recently consumed my favourite long black cardigan and one of ds school sweatshirts.

I am a tad annoyed with it,TBH

This thread has made me laugh!

This house likes my son's dummies... I swear to God the day will come when we move out of here and find 800 dummies stuffed in various crevices of this place.

And my house eats socks too. I have a growing collection of odd socks in the bottom of the laundry basket because I just KNOW that the day I throw them away, the matching socks will suddenly appear...

I do think the sock thing is a real paranormal phenomenon. seriously.

My old house ate my glasses month ago but fortunately my new home regurgitated them into a DD2s beach bag only this evening.

The weird bit is that I was sitting here with my laptop, cursing my eyesight and wondering where the hell my glasses could have got to, thinking of them for the first time in months, when 30 seconds later DD2 appeared with them.
