Not to be woken up at 6am instead
Woken up at 8.am with a pot of tea and the papers, breakfast in bed at 9am(sausage,bacon,mushrooms,scrambled egg, fried bread and beans) then a lie in until my bath as been run at about 10.30 then a hour in the bath listening to nice music
Then go down and open my card and eat a few chocys, play with the kids until 1pm ,go to the pub for a couple of beers
Then come home for a steady afternoon

I was going to want a bottle of fizz in the bath but I think that is taking the piss

Afterall this is my day

YANBU

Personally I'm just hoping to get back to an even keel after Friday nights debacle.

whomovedmychocolate · 19/06/2010 20:29

Did you provide this experience to your partner on Mothering Sunday?

Did you request this in good time in advance?

If not YABU

Also delusional.

Jasonthunderpants · 19/06/2010 20:32

All she as to do is ask and I would do my best

What did you do for your wife on mothering sunday? List it please. Then I can judge.

peppapighastakenovermylife · 19/06/2010 20:44

I think it should be proportional to what you did on mothers day and how much time you spend parenting in comparison to her.

CoronaAndLime · 19/06/2010 20:45

Yanbu (If you were that good to your Dp/Dw on Mothers day) exept for the pub bit. The idea is to enjoy time with your Dc imo.

Have a lovley day

boyngirl · 19/06/2010 20:45

Well Mr Thunderpants. My dh will get:
Lie in til 11am ish
Coffee/croissants
Home made cards from dc
Lunch with MY dad and family
dd's birthday party
Loads of whisky
Cooked dinner (I never cook. It will be horrible, he will probably take over)
Wine
More whisky
Bed

soo a mixed bag but pretty good so no YANBU

MiladyDeScorchio · 19/06/2010 20:51

What's all this lie-in, breakfast, bath and pub shite?

My DH will get a special blow-job and some cards made by the kids and he'll be bloody grateful

Jasonthunderpants · 19/06/2010 20:56

boyngirl
that sounds like a good day
peppa and snowflake
I cant remember what we did on mothers day to be honest I cannot remember last week. Looking after kids as pickled my brain
I have been tired for the last 4 yrs and have only enough brain space for day to day things

Jasonthunderpants · 19/06/2010 20:58

milady
that sound good I would make do with that

PiratePrincess · 19/06/2010 21:17

My DH will get:

A recordable card with the delightful sounds of our 3 DC's shouting

A box of chocs

A coffee maker and some posh coffee (I never drink the stuff so this is a good gift!)

But - the lie in? Breakfast in bed? Visit to the pub?

Dream on

diamondsandtiaras · 19/06/2010 21:29

My DH will be getting a (homemade) card and small gift. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY will there be a lie in or trip to the pub. I have never cooked him a breakfast and don't intend to start now!

i got choccies and a card for mothering sunday. that was fine. my response will be proportionate.

XboxWidow30 · 20/06/2010 09:27

My hubby is having a lie in as we speak but gonna send the kids up to wake him very soon! Then card and pressie and business as usual like every other Sunday.

No special treatment here!!!!

dizzydixies · 20/06/2010 09:31

DH is getting to sleep off a late shift because he starts nights tonight - after that he can fecking dream on as he does sod all for Mother's day

DD2 (4yrs) chose him a singing dancing hamster card which I am sure he will adore, look at once then leave for me to tidy up

coppertop · 20/06/2010 09:34

While the children are too young to organise anything for themselves you should get the same treatment that you gave on Mother's Day. And it obviously wasn't anything particularly memorable if you can't remember it.

QualityTime · 20/06/2010 09:34

Think yourself lucky JT, DH will get

alarm going off at 6am, up and in the shower.
Off to work by half 6 (although got kiss goodbye from dd's)
Back home after no lunch at 3.
Cards and presents, out for ride on bike
tea at 5,
help with sunday night hairwashing bathtime,
wine at half 7.

So be grateful for whatever you do get.

sungirltan · 20/06/2010 09:43
